Working on several projects to improve both sub-scale and full-scale battery testing infrastructure.
Using FEA and hand calculations as well as rapid prototyping to verify designs before working with manufacturers and suppliers to get projects delivered on time.
Integrating sensors and using DAQ software with existing designs to perform root-cause analysis with the aim of improving reliability.

Technical Lead @ WatArrow Design Team

May 2023 - Present

Co-founded design team to compete in SAE Aero East 2024.
Leading the design process of the 2024 competition aircraft, advising the team on composite manufacturing, wiring, landing gear, remote control, and payload integration.
Designing the aerodynamics of the aircraft to give the desired lift while minimizing wingspan and take-off distance.

Research Intern @ Project CETI - Harvard Microrobotics Labs

Worked on mechanical engineering projects, including modifying, designing, and manufacturing several drones able to operate in marine environments, deploying different payloads from the air and ocean surface.
Designed and manufactured tag bodies that can survive depths of up to 2000m underwater while measuring whale movement, sound, heartrate, and location.
Led meetings in collaboration with research groups at MIT and Harvard.

Team Leader - Infantry @ Swiss Armed Forces

I was selected in a competitive process as a Team Leader, where we were trained to make critical decisions and lead my team of 6 others in high pressure situations.
Prepared me to keep a level head regardless of how mentally or physically stressful a situation is.
My training was done as part of my mandatory service in the Swiss militia.

Composite Lead @ Waterloo Aerial Robotics Group

Sep 2021 - Present

I was a member of the Mech sub-team of WARG, designing and testing components for the team.
Designed the gimbal and computer vision testing rig for the 2022 drone competing at the UAS competition.
Led research and manufacturing composite frames for the 2023 drone and shared that expertise with younger members on the team.

Research Intern @ CERN

Mar 2021 - May 2021

Researched optical and electrical strain gauges at cryogenic temperatures, using universal testing machines to study behaviour of the sensors at -196°C and -295°C.
Research used to validate the use of strain gauges rather than FEA in prototype super magnets for the LHC.
Assisted colleagues validating designs for the Hi-Lumi upgrade of the LHC and the ATLAS detector.
