About
Background
I was born in Kenya and grew up in Ethiopia and Ghana. I moved to Switzerland when I was 8 and attended the international school of Geneva for the following 10 years. I now study mechanical engineering at the University of Waterloo in Canada.
Hobbies
My hobbies are 3D printing and building projects using 3D printed parts. The is one of the ways I apply my engineering studies to real applications.
I have also been passionate about aviation for a long time, joining my high schools drone racing club when I was 16, learning to build and fly them. More recently I have been working on designing a fixed wing drone from scratch.
I was formerly a member of Waterloo Aerial Robotics Group on the mechanical subteam before deciding to create a new design team focused on aerodynamics, composites, and structures in a way that can only be done through the lense of aerospace engineering. I am the technical lead of the team and through my position, I aim to inspire and teach members of the team new skills relevant to aerospace engineering that they can apply as future leads and in their professional careers.
I also love moving; skiing, running, climbing, hiking, etc.
